Thank you for visiting my site. My name is Michael Grubka and I’m a professional photographer based in Celbridge, Co. Kildare. I specialize in portrait photography mainly focusing on families and children although I do no limit myself to these two categories. 

Photography was always close to my heart. This passion was passed to me by my father who was a huge photography enthusiast. With his own dark room and a couple of different cameras at hand he was always documenting our family life and everything else that was surrounding us down through the years.

So from an early age I was learning first-hand the mastery and beauty of still images and developing a strong passion for it.

However following different paths throughout my life I kept photography to myself treating it as a hobby rather than anything more serious. And that did not change until about 2008 when, following growing number of positive comments from people who have seen my work I started to shape the idea about my photography business. This fully came to light in 2010 when I became a father.        

Inspired by my two children …

The arrival of Emily in 2010 and of Nathan two years later inspired me afresh as to where I wanted to be with my photography. They gave me a  new passion and heart for what I am doing, as well as a lot of practice that can be seen throughout my work.

And this is what I'm trying to give to other parents - something of what I have gained, and deeply treasure myself. I know how important these portraits, or ‘frozen memories’, become in every family with every day and every year that passes.

These are the single most important things in anyone`s life that will out last everything else and get handed down through generations. I love to think that I am giving them such memories in this long-lasting form.

And that is what I want to do for you, my client - present you with a one-of-a-kind collection of images of you, your family and your beloved children.

Every day, every week, every month we are changing, our loved ones are changing. People come and go. The moments that we had, the people that we have been will not come back again... don`t let these moments slip away without a trace!         

I cover Dublin, Co Kildare, and all surrounding counties. The photo shoot can take place at your home, in my home studio or at a venue of your choice.
